ON TRACK PLANT IN WORCESTERSHIRE IN 2016

A very wet start to 2016 with little in the way of interesting workings was interuppted by the passage of this Network Rail Stoneblower unit, photographed by Robert Pritchard on the 4th January 2016, en route from Worcester to Woodborough.
Alongside Kidderminster Station is one of a number of compounds across the county that sometimes contain items of on-track plant.  The photograph which was taken by Andrew Smith on Saturday 16th January 2016 shows three items of plant.  On the right are a pair of flat wagons (TR33 & TR28) whilst to the left is an A.P.Webb's O&K unit (Network Rail No.970042-6).

This superb video was taken by Steve Widdowson on 3rd June 2016 at Worcester and shows the Loram Rail Grinding machine in action.
On Monday 25th and Tuesday 26th October 2016 the New Measurement Train passed through the county.  The weather was dire on the Monday but by the afternoon of the next day it shone in perfect position for photography at Malvern Wells. The train was hauled by yellow livery class 43 'HST locomotives Nos.43062"John Armitt" and 43013.  The photograph, which was taken by Andrew Smith shows No.43062 drawing into the newly-relaid 'down' loop, prior to returning to Derby. This train has originated from Swansea.
