FREIGHT TRAINS IN WORCESTERSHIRE IN 2014
The start of the new year brought an unexpected working through the county on Thursday 2nd January 2014 in the form of this train of empty car carriers forming the 04:50 Warrington Arpley Sidings to Portbury Automotive Terminal. The train, running via Bromsgrove and over an hour late at Abbotswood Junction, was headed by DBS Schenker class 66 diesel locomotive No.66122. Photograph taken by Andrew Smith.
Despite floods and torrential rain in the first part of January 2014 the sun shined brightly for Robert Cooke as he witnessed the passage of DRS class 66 diesel locomotive No.66432 with the daily (not Saturdays) Daventry to Wentloog company train on Thursday 9th January.
