The New Measurement Train (otherwise known as "The Flying Banana") visited Malvern in April 2018.  The train left Landore in South Wales at 03.30 and eventually reached Malvern Wells shortly after 16.30. The train, which was formed of class 43 power cars Nos,43014 and 43013 plus five carriages, was photographed by Andrew Smith in the 'down' loop on Wednesday 11th April 2018.

Rail privatisation has spauned some awful liveries but perhaps the worst of all is this one carried by three-car class 172 diesel multiple unit No.172339 seen here at Worcester Foregate Street on the evening of Saturday 18th August 2018.  This livery was apparently designed, if that is the right word, for the West Midlands Combined Authority. The unit was in charge of train code No.2C68 17.59 Great Malvern to Dorridge via Worcester Shrub Hill. Photograph taken by Andrew Smith.
