CROSS CITY LINE

This is a list of train movements on a typical Friday afternoon in the summer of 1993 and shows the great variety of trains in service at that time. The observations and photographs are by Andrew Smith.

53919, 53124 & 51853 (parts of Tyseley sets Nos T353 & 354) spare to cover for failed units. The photograph shows No.51853 in the centre road.

165108 – 15:08 Worcester to Birmingham New Street. This class 165 diesel multiple unit was in Network South East livery as it passes through Longbridge on the 'up' fast line.

308136 - 14:39 Lichfield to Longbridge. The class 308 electric multiple units had been built as 4-car sets but when transferred to the West Midlands one of the middle cars was removed.
