News 2025 - Railways in Worcestershire

On a cold but bright Wednesday 22nd January 2025 Andrew Smith photographed four-car class 196 diesel multiple unit No.196 107 at Great Malvern Station with the 13.40 Hereford to Birmingham New Street train (code No.1M67).

On 20th May 2025 GBRf liveried class 66 diesel locomotive No.66719 "200" went through Kidderminster Station with several carriages specially adorned with logos "celebrating 200 years of train travel since 1925" to mark 200 years since the opening of the Stockton to Darlington Railway.  Photograph taken by Pete Stamper.
