UPTON UPON SEVERN RIVER BRIDGE
Grid Reference: SO 865391
The bridge that carried the Ashchurch to Malvern Railway was approached by high embankments on both sides of the river. This is the view looking east towards Ripple. The track bed and surviving parts of the old bridge remained in place in 2012.
The River Severn is just behind the photographer in this photograph showing the embankment of the former Ashchurch to Malvern Railway looking West towards Upton upon Severn with the North Hill at Malvern just visible on the far right.
The easiest means of accessing this viewpoint is by following the Upton upon Severn walk.
